What About Future Titles and More Features?
We will release more native Beatmaker 3 titles in the future - please stay tuned. All future Beatmaker titles will be native BM3 format, naturally.
For the BM3 Update, Does It Matter Whether I Own Beatmaker Version 1 or Version 2 Plugins?
No - both are fully eligible for the upgrade, at the same price. When you purchase the BM3 upgrade, you’ll receive Beatmaker 3 licenses for each of your legacy Beatmaker titles but still keep the old versions (e.g. for loading older sessions).
Can I Try Beatmaker Before I Make a Purchase?
Yes, you can try all Beatmaker 3 plugins entirely free for 7 days with no limitations. To download and install the trial versions, please download the UJAM App here: https://www.ujam.com/ujam-app/
Where Can I Find the User Manual?
The User Guide can be opened from the Info within the plug-in, from the plug-in's product page, or by clicking here.
After Upgrading to Beatmaker 3, Can I Still Use My existing Beatmaker Plugins?
Yes, you can continue using your Beatmaker products in BM2 format (listed individually, e.g. "BM-IDOL"), while using the new products in BM3 format (listed as a single "Beatmaker"). Both the old and new Beatmaker plugins can work simultaneously in your DAW.
What should I do if I only want to use the new Beatmakers after upgrading?
If desired, the previous versions can be removed from your system using the UJAM App. Look for "Uninstall" in the ••• menu to the right of each plug-in to manually remove them. They can be reinstaller later if needed, and your account will still display all the licenses you own (older versions can be identified by a "1" or "2" appended to the product name).
I Saw That Beatmaker Titles Are Priced at $29, but It’s Showing $39 in My Account.
If you are a new user who doesn’t own any UJAM products yet, your intro price for a Beatmaker is $39.
$29 is the loyalty price for users who own at least one UJAM plug-in. If you do own a UJAM product and still see the $39 price, chances are you aren’t logged in yet - please log in and you should see your loyalty intro price.
How Do I Achieve Loyalty Status?
Loyalty status is achieved by owning any UJAM plug-in. You could purchase one from our website or a reseller, or you could even subscribe to our newsletter and activate the free product you receive!
I Own Everything From Ujam, I’m Just Missing CHROMED.
CHROMED is a new title that doesn’t exist in the old Beatmaker format. You can buy CHROMED during the intro period for $29 and get the upgrade to the new Beatmaker 3 for free. All your Beatmaker titles will be automatically imported into the new Beatmaker 3, but they also remain as Beatmaker 2 versions so you can still open your older sessions.
I Only Have a Free Ujam Product — Can I Still Get Loyalty Pricing?
Absolutely! Just sign in on our website and you’ll be able to access the loyalty offers.
Does Beatmaker Version 3 Have Fewer MIDI Phrases Than Version 2?
No. While you'll only see 10 different loops (phrases) in the on-screen keyboard, Beatmaker Version 3 includes the same number of MIDI phrases as Version 2. While it may seem like there are fewer options due to the redesigned key layout, all the phrases from Version 2 are still available. The new layout provides more flexibility by allowing you to choose and organize your own custom loop setup, and users that have upgraded still have their Version 2 licenses for workflows that require more than 10 loops.
Can I Change the MIDI Mapping?
The MIDI mapping is intentionally designed and configured based on extensive feedback and data gathered through numerous user interviews. This deliberate optimization ensures that the MIDI integration is intuitive and efficient, and can be used on smaller MIDI Controllers. While altering the MIDI mapping of each drum part is not possible, the Loops can be loaded onto any of the 10 'black' keys (so you are not limited to the default selections).
Does Beatmaker 3 support NKS?
While NKS was fully supported in the Beatmaker 2 series, it is not currently supported in version 3. We will be considering its implementation for a future update.
