This article is meant to inform you about important upcoming changes to the compatibility of the UJAM App with macOS Catalina (version 10.15).
What's happening?
To ensure we can continue to provide you with the best possible performance, security, and support for new products, future updates of the UJAM App will no longer be compatible with macOS Catalina.
You may see a pop-up in your UJAM App informing you that there is an App Update, but your OS (Catalina) is not compatible anymore:
Why are we making this change?
As technology evolves, so do the requirements for software development. Newer macOS versions offer significant advancements in terms of security, performance, and features that are crucial for the ongoing development and optimization of our products. By focusing our development efforts on more recent operating systems, we can deliver a more stable, secure, and feature-rich experience for the majority of our users.
Continuing to support older operating systems can hinder our ability to implement new features, resolve issues efficiently, and maintain the highest security standards.
What does this mean for you?
- Current App Version: Your current UJAM App will continue to function on macOS Catalina. However, you will not receive future updates to the App.
- New Product Support: Future UJAM products and features released after this change may not be accessible or fully functional with an outdated App version on Catalina.
- Optimal Performance: For the best performance and compatibility with our latest plugins, we highly recommend updating your macOS.
What should you do?
To ensure you can continue to receive all future UJAM App updates, security enhancements, and support for upcoming products, we strongly advise you to update your macOS to a newer version.
For information on how to update your macOS, please refer to Apple's official support documentation.
We understand that updating your operating system can be a significant step, and we encourage you to back up your system before proceeding with any major OS update.
We are committed to providing you with the best possible user experience and thank you for your understanding as we make these necessary advancements.
