The actual guitar goodness of Virtual Guitarist SILK – the audio content – is packed into a socalled blob file named VG-SILK.blob which is about 2.9 GB big. You can keep the blob file anywhere you like on your system drive:
Installing to a different drive on macOS While you’re able to select a custom location on your system drive during installation, it’s not possible to select a different drive at the moment. However, you can move the content after the installation is done. Please refer to the section “Changing the content location after installation”.

Installing to a different drive on Windows
The Windows installer will ask you if you want to install the content to a different directory. On Windows, you can also set a different location for the plug-in, however we recommend to leave this untouched unless you have a good reason.

Changing the content location after installation You can always change the content location after installation by just moving the VG-SILK.blob file: • Move your file to the desired location (different folder or different drive) • Launch your DAW and open Virtual Guitarist SILK. It will present you with a dialog asking for the file location. Simply point to the new location of the VG-SILK.blob file – done.
