We've heard about some Windows users running into issues when installing a plug-in or upgrading their plug-in to a new version. Sometimes the DAW crashes, blocks the plug-in or won't load it. Also in some cases this error message appears:
Most users were able to successfully install and use the plug-in after following these instructions (example for Beatmaker EDEN):
- Run the deinstaller of BM-EDEN:
- During standard installation, the deinstaller will be put into the following locations on your main system drive:
%SYSDRIVE%\Program Files\UJAM\BM-EDEN\
- During standard installation, the deinstaller will be put into the following locations on your main system drive:
- Please make sure no older .dll or .blob files of BM-EDEN are somewhere on your system
- Delete the whole plug-in folder BM-EDEN (show hidden files must be enabled) at the following locations (if you created custom user-presets and want to keep them, please move the folder to an external HDD or a USB stick)
%SYSTEMDRIVE%\ProgramData\UJAM\ |
%SYSTEMDRIVE%\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\UJAM\BM-EDEN |
- Delete the BM-EDEN.aaxplugin folder at this location
(only important for Pro Tools users)
%SYSDRIVE%\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins |
- Start your DAW and see whether BM-EDEN appears in the plug-in list (it shouldn't)
- Restart your computer
- Install BM-EDEN 2
- Run your DAW (it should now do a rescan and find the plug-in)
Depending on your plug-in, you need to replace the plug-in name & category:
Beatmaker | BM |
Virtual Bassist |
VB |
Virtual Drummer | VD |
Finisher | FIN |
Virtual Guitarist | VG |
Symphonic Elements | SE |
