This guide lists all steps to remove a UJAM plug-in completely from your system.

If you're running into any issues with your plug-in, a fresh clean reinstallation helps in most cases.

❗Always close your DAW before uninstalling and reinstalling.

We also recommend to manually check the plugin folders to ensure that all the files actually got removed.

UJAM App Uninstall Feature

The easiest way of uninstalling a plugin is via the UJAM App:

Open the App settings and check if you're using the most recent UJAM App version (at least 0.3.8)
Find the product you'd like to uninstall and click on the three dots, then on ‘Uninstall‘:
You will now be asked to enter your admin credentials:
Enter your credentials and then the plugin will get uninstalled immediately.
Done! ✔︎

If you're not using the UJAM App, you need to remove all the plugin files from your system manually.

Step by Step:

Plugin Audio Content

{SYSDRIVE}:/Library/Application Support/UJAM/

Remove the single product plug-in folder (or the whole UJAM folder if you wanna get rid of all UJAM plugins)

AU file

{SYSDRIVE}:/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

Remove the ujam .component file(s) of your ujam plug-in.

VST file

Remove the .vst file(s) of your ujam plug-in or the whole UJAM folder.

AAX file

Remove the .aaxplugin file(s) of your ujam plug-in.

Garageband

To uninstall Garageband specific data you have to open the Plugin in Garageband in order to find the folder. Remove the Folder from the following location:

{SYSDRIVE}:/USERS/USERNAME/Library/Containers/com.apple.garageband10/Data/Library/Application Support/UJAM/

Just remove the UJAM folder.

NKS

If you are using NKS features (ONLY VG-Iron1, VG-Amber, VG-Sparkle, or VG-Silk), you have to remove the data in the following locations:

XML file: {SYSDRIVE}:/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Service Center/Virtual Guitarist_____.xml

P-list file: {SYSDRIVE}:/Library/Preferences/com.native-instruments.Virtual Guitarist_____.plist

NKS files are only available if you have VG-IRON1, VG-AMBER, VG-SPARKLE or VG-SILK.
