✅ Before You Start: A Quick Checklist

Let's make sure you have everything you need for a smooth ride.

• UJAM Plugin(s) Installed? You'll need the actual UJAM plugin installed and authorized on your system first. These NKS files are just support staff; they aren't the main event!
• Native Instruments Software Ready? Make sure you have the latest versions of Komplete Kontrol and/or Maschine software installed. The Native Access app is your best friend for keeping these up-to-date.
• Got Admin Powers? 🧙‍♂️ We'll need to copy some files into system folders, so you'll need administrator access on your computer.

1. Open File Explorer.
2. Click the View tab -> Options.
3. In the new window, click the View tab again.
4. Select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" and click OK.

Installation Steps:

Copy the files from your downloaded folder to the destinations below.

• Pro Tip: When you copy the NI Resources files, Windows might ask if you want to merge folders. Say yes! Don't replace the whole folder.

For macOS Users 🍏

Step 0: Access the Hidden User Library

1. Open Finder.
2. Click "Go" in the top menu bar.
3. Press and hold the Option (⌥) key.
4. "Library" will appear in the menu. Click it!

Installation Steps:

Copy the files from your downloaded folder to the destinations below.

• Heads Up! For the .xml and .plist files, you're going to the main system Library folder, not the hidden user one.

Part 3: The Grand Finale - Rescan! ✨

You're almost there! Just copying the files isn't enough. We need to tell the NI software to look for them. This step is mandatory!

1. Open the standalone Komplete Kontrol or Maschine app (not inside your DAW).
2. Go to Preferences:

• macOS: Komplete Kontrol > Preferences
• Windows: File > Preferences

3. Click the Library tab, then hit the Rescan button under the Factory section. Wait for it to finish.
4. Next, click the Plug-ins tab and hit Rescan there, too.
5. Check that the path to your UJAM VSTs is correct under the Locations tab.
6. Close the Preferences window.
