Below are some of the frequently asked questions about UJAM's RETROCRAFT plugin.
What is RETROCRAFT?
RETROCRAFT is a retro effects plugin that transforms piano chords, vocal loops, or drum beats into beautifully imperfect tracks with character.
it pairs analog amps, tape machines, vinyl players, and speaker simulations with six modern FX modules for sound designers and producers. It combines the capabilities of industry-standard retro plugins with modern multi-effects for any kind of improvement, from subtle analog character to complex sound design. Practically any kind of vocal or instrument can be made better with RETROCRAFT.
RETROCRAFT can be installed and activated using the UJAM App.
Where do I find it in my DAW?
RETROCRAFT is an effect, so you'll find this in your DAWs Effects or Audio FX category.
DAWs each have their own plugin management options (e.g. Logic Pro > Settings > Plug-in Manager...) with options to scan, enable, etc. (See I can't find my plugin in my DAW)
Is it Mono or Stereo?
RETROCRAFT is a stereo plugin, so adding it to a mono track will change the track width to stereo.
LUNA users: RETROCRAFT is only available on stereo tracks, so if you have a mono track you could create a send to a new stereo bus track or move your audio & plugins to a new stereo track then add RETROCRAFT.
Pro Tools users: As with other UJAM effects plugins, adding RETROCRAFT to a mono track will change the track output to stereo.
Can the effects be rearranged for a different signal flow?
Only the Reverb and Chop effects can be swapped. Click the Pre Reverb button in the Chop section to move it before the Reverb.
Where can I find the User Guide?
The RETROCRAFT User Guide can opened as a PDF, and is linked from product page, the plugin's About screen, as well as the UJAM App.
Are there any known issues?
In some circumstances, reactivating a duplicated RETROCRAFT plugin/track can crash Pro Tools. A fix for this is in progress.
