How to Rescan Plugins in Logic Pro & Garageband:
Make sure your UJAM plug-ins are installed correctly
You can confirm this here:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
If the plug-in is stored in this location, you can move on to Step 2 – if not, install the plug-in using the UJAM App with the AU option enabled under Choose Plugin Settings.
Do an automatic reset
Launch Logic and go to Logic Pro > Preferences > Plug-in Manager
Select the plug-in and force a rescan by clicking on Reset & Rescan Selection. If you're using the most recent Logic version, you can even do a Full Audio Unit Reset.
Confirm that you see the small blue checkmark under Use (newer versions of Logic swapped this for Hide and Ignore, so disable those if needed):
Manually clear the Audio Unit cache
If either of the Resets in Logic don't work, you can manually clear the cache to force a complete rescan on the next launch.
- Click the Go menu in the Finder and select Library (if you don't see Library in the list, hold the option key)
- Open the Caches folder
- Delete the "AudioUnitCache" folder which should include the "com.apple.audiounits.cache" file
- Restart your computer & launch Logic (don't skip this step)
Your plug-in(s) should now be available.
Additional Troubleshooting
If the plug-in fails validation again, check your Logic and macOS versions for compatibility.
