How to Rescan Plugins in Ableton Live:
1. Make sure your ujam plug-in is installed in order to run properly, please check if that’s the case.
Plugin Manager > Plugin search paths field. Use the Plugin Manager to add the following path:
windows
{SYSDRIVE}:\Program Files\VstPlugins\UJAM |
{SYSDRIVE}:\Program Files (x86)\VstPlugins\UJAM |
macOS
{SYSDRIVE}:\Library\Audio\Plug-Ins\VST |
The default path of Audio Unit (AU) files on your system should read as follows:
{SYSDRIVE}:/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components |
If the plug-in is stored in this location, you can move on to Step 2 – if not, please go to ujam.com/my-account to download your desired plug-in/plug-ins.
2. Open Ableton Live and Go to >Preferences
3. After installing the plugin/s, use the rescan option in Preferences under the plug-in Section. This correctly sorts plugins into their installed plug-ins category.
4. Newly scanned plugins will appear under your Categories Section in ''Plug-Ins''. The categories labels show all items of a given type, regardless of where they are in your library.
Additional Troubleshooting
If issues persist, you might forget to hold ''ALT'' (PC) while clicking on ''Rescan'', your plug-in database will be deleted and a complete scan of all your plug-ins will take place.
Your plug-in/plug-ins should’ve now been scanned successfully. Enjoy making music!
