How to Rescan Plugins in Digital Performer:
1. Make sure your ujam plug-in is installed in order to run properly, please check if that’s the case.
Plugin Manager > Plugin search paths field. Use the Plugin Manager to add the following path:
Windows
{SYSDRIVE}:\Program Files\VstPlugins\UJAM |
{SYSDRIVE}:\Program Files (x86)\VstPlugins\UJAM |
macOS
{SYSDRIVE}:\Library\Audio\Plug-Ins\VST |
If the plug-in is stored in this location, you can move on to Step 2 – if not, please go to ujam.com/my-account to download your desired plug-in/plug-ins.
2. Open Digital Performer and go to >Preferences under the drop down menu.
3. Scan for installed plugins. Select "Audio Plugins" under General. Select the plugins that have been unexamined or that have failed validation and click "Reexamine".
Note: You can select multiple plugins in the list at a time by holding the "Command" (⌘) key and clicking.
4. Newly scanned plugins will appear under Preferences and Settings >General >Audio Plug-ins.
Additional Troubleshooting
Does it say ‘Passed’ or ‘Failed’ to the right of the plug-in name? If it says ‘Failed’, try re-examining the plug-in. Select the plug-in name, then select the ‘Reexamine’ button. It should now say ‘Passed’. If it still fails the examination, then there’s an issue with this plug-in. In this case, check for plug-in updates, reinstall the plug-in, and contact the plug-in developer to report the issue.
If the plug-in says ‘Passed’, look at the checkbox to the left of the plug-in name - is it checked? If not, check it. This should resolve the issue.
If the plug-in doesn’t show up in the Audio Plug-in window, there are a couple of possibilities:
- The plug-in installation was unsuccessful or corrupt. Double-check that it is the most recent plug-in version, then tries reinstalling.
- The plug-in is incompatible with Digital Performer’s current mode of operation (32-bit or 64-bit). We sometimes see this with older plug-ins that are 32-bit only - as Digital Performer runs in 64-bit mode by default, any plug-ins that are 32-bit only will not be accessible. To confirm this, either launch Digital Performer in 32-bit mode* to check whether the plug-in appears or contact the developer to verify the plug-in’s compatibility.
*To run Digital Performer in 32-bit mode, select the DP application in Finder, then go to File>Get Info. Select the checkbox for ‘Open in 32-bit mode’.
Your plug-in/plug-ins should’ve now been scanned successfully. Enjoy making music!
