Here are some frequently asked questions about Beatmaker version 3:
Purchasing
Are there loyalty offers for existing UJAM users?
Yes, here are your loyalty discount options:
- Upgrade all of your existing Beatmaker licenses to version 3. No matter how many titles you own, you get all the v3 goodness (and you keep your v2 licenses for existing projects).
- Buy any new Beatmaker. This also upgrades all of your owned licenses. (It's the best option if you own the complete v2 bundle!)
- Build your own bundle. Grab 5 or 10 titles. This also upgrades all your owned licenses.
- Buy the full Beatmaker Bundle

How do I achieve loyalty status?
Loyalty status comes from simply by owning any UJAM plugin. You can buy one from our website or a reseller, or even subscribe to our newsletter and activate the free product you receive! Yes, even a free UJAM product grants you loyalty pricing. Just sign in to your account!
I own everything from UJAM, I’m just missing one of the newer releases like KAYA.
KAYA is new since the change to version 3, so it doesn't exist in the old Beatmaker format. Existing Beatmaker v2 owners can buy KAYA (this also upgrades all the v2 titles you own to v3 so all of your Beatmaker titles will be available in the new Beatmaker 3 format).
When did the intro period end?
The intro period (discount) ran until August 3rd 2025.
Can I try Beatmaker before I make a purchase?
Absolutely! You can try all Beatmaker plugins free for 7 days with no limitations. Just download the UJAM App to get started.
Does the upgrade depend on whether I own v1 or v2 Beatmaker plug-ins?
No, both v1 and v2 Beatmaker plug-ins are fully eligible for the upgrade at the same price.
What about future titles and more features?
We're always cooking up something new! We plan to release more titles in the future, and any new Beatmaker titles will be in the new Beatmaker version 3 format.
Installation & Features
What are the new features in Beatmaker version 3?
Page 7 of the User Guide describes the new features which include improved navigation of titles and presets, a loop browser, consolidated key map, mixer with individual panning, and more.
Can I still use my existing v2 Beatmaker plug-ins after upgrading?
Yes. When you purchase the Beatmaker upgrade, you'll receive Beatmaker 3 licenses for each of your legacy Beatmaker titles, but you'll still keep the old versions. This is super handy for loading older projects! Both the old and new Beatmaker plugins can even work simultaneously in your DAW (for the new titles, look for "BEATMAKER" in your plug-ins list).
What should I do if I only want to use the new Beatmakers after upgrading?
If you want to keep things tidy, you can easily remove the previous versions from your system using the UJAM App. Just look for "Uninstall" in the "•••" menu to the right of each plug-in to remove them. Don't worry, you can always reinstall them later if needed, and your account/products will still display all the licenses you own (older versions can be identified by a "1" or "2" appended to the product name).
Why aren't my Beatmaker titles activating in the UJAM App after installing them?
Compare the versions installed vs your licenses. The new versions can be identified by "Version: 3.x.x" under their names while "Version: 2.x.x" is under the previous versions. A v3 license will not activate a v2 plug-in and vice versa. If you've installed any unlicensed plug-ins, you can uninstall them then change the UJAM App's first pop-up from All Products to My Products to see/install only the products you own.
Why don't I see my new Beatmaker plug-ins in my DAW?
Beatmaker version 2 plug-ins were listed individually in a DAW, whereas version 3 are all included in a frame. Load the "BEATMAKER" instrument then use the Title Browse (on the left) to choose one, e.g. GLOOM.
Does Beatmaker Version 3 have fewer MIDI phrases than Version 2?
Nope, not at all! While the on-screen keyboard might show 10 different loops (phrases), Beatmaker Version 3 includes the same number of MIDI phrases as Version 2. The new layout gives you more flexibility to choose and organize your own custom loop setup, and upgraded users still have their Version 2 licenses for workflows that might need more than 10 loops.
Can I change the MIDI mapping?
The MIDI mapping in Beatmaker 3 is intentionally designed for an intuitive and efficient workflow based on extensive user feedback, and it works great on smaller MIDI controllers. While you can't alter the MIDI mapping of individual drum parts, you can load the Loops onto any of the 10 "black" keys, so you're not limited to the default selections.
Does Beatmaker support NKS?
While NKS was fully supported in the Beatmaker 2 series, it's not currently supported in version 3.
