1) Attempting to activate a plug-in (or version) you don't own, e.g. installing BERSERK Version 2.3.1 but owning a BERSERK 3 license.
- Remove the unlicensed version using the Uninstall option in the menu to the right of the plug-in title.
- Change the pop-up from All Products to My Products.
- Install the correct plug-in/version that matches the license in your account.
2) Attempting to activate a v1 plug-in (like Virtual Guitarist IRON).
This issue was fixed (11/25/2025), but if unable to activate using email + password in the plug-in follow these steps:
- Open the UJAM folder found at:
- Macintosh HD/Users/*YourUserName*/Library/Application Support/UJAM/
- C:\Users\*YourUserName*\AppData\Roaming\UJAM\
- Move the existing .ops file to the desktop
- Launch your DAW and add the UJAM plug-in to a track (this should generate a new .ops file in the location listed above)
- Attach that .ops file to a support ticket (start one here if needed)
- UJAM Support will reply with an updated .ops file - save that to the location listed above (overwriting the one you generated)
- Restart your computer (if needed)
Additional notes:
- The .ops files are in the User Library (not the System Library) and your operating system might have the User Library hidden.
- .ops files for older titles are outside their folders (in /UJAM/) whereas newer titles have them inside their dedicated folders(in /UJAM/VG-CINEDREAM/).
- Older installers can be downloaded from your UJAM account or from this KB article.
- In cases where the plug-in is overwriting the correct .ops file (resulting in the above error every time you open your DAW) simply lock the new .ops file (e.g. on macOS: select the file, right+click > Get Info, enable the Locked option).
- Older plug-ins might work on more current operating systems and computers, but older machines and/or operating systems that they were qualified on might be required.
- Default File Locations lists all the specific file paths if needed.
