Below are some of the frequently asked questions about UJAM's VOXCRAFT plug-in.
What is VOXCRAFT?
VOXCRAFT is a plug-in focused on vocal processing. It includes a range of effects, from compression and ambience to chop and pitch correction. See the VOXCRAFT product page for more info and demos.
VOXCRAFT is an effect, so you'll find this in your DAWs Effects or Audio FX category.
DAWs each have their own plug-in management options (e.g. Logic Pro > Settings > Plug-in Manager...) with options to scan, enable, etc. (See I can't find my plugin in my DAW)
Is it Mono? Stereo? Both?
VOXCRAFT is a stereo plug-in, so adding it to a mono track will change the track width to stereo.
LUNA users: VOXCRAFT is only available on stereo tracks, so if you have a mono track you could create a send to a new stereo bus track or move your audio & plug-ins to a new stereo track then add VOXCRAFT.
Pro Tools users: As with other UJAM effects plug-ins, adding VOXCRAFT to a mono track will change the track output to stereo.
You might notice a couple of the Reverb modes are mono. This is most noticeable with PLATE, and with REVERSE at smaller Time settings.
Can the effects be rearranged for a different signal flow?
Only the Reverb and Chop effects can be swapped. Click the Pre Reverb button in the Chop section to move it before the Reverb.
What's the difference between the Mix knob and Mix slider?
The Voice Mix knob adjusts the blend between the original (unaffected) sound and the sound affected by the VOICE settings (Pitch, Formant, Unison, Tune).
The Mix slider is used to blend the original (unaffected) sound with the complete processed sound of the plug-in.
What's the difference between the Unison knob and Doubling switch?
The Unison knob (in the VOICE section) simulates multiple voices to create a ‘thicker’ sound.
The Doubling switch (at the bottom) simulates "double tracking" the vocal and panning the two slightly different takes left and right for a wider sound.
What does the Super Glue knob do?
This is an exaggerated dynamics processor that’s designed to slam and squeeze your signal through the mix, creating very artificial dynamics. In extreme settings, it also creates a cool ducking effect when used with delay and reverb.
Where can I find the User Guide?
The VOXCRAFT User Guide can opened here as well as from the product page, the plug-in's About screen, and the UJAM App.
