Your new plug-in is silent and you can't hear any sound? Here are some quick tips and important notes you should check out if your plug-in does not work as expected:
- Make sure that you use the right keys for playing. Please note, that at some ujam plug-ins, the keys below the Play or Chord Range don't make any sounds but are used to select the phrase to be played. The notes from C3* or C4* upwards then trigger the selected phrase in the desired pitch. For example here the red boxes don't make a sound by themselves only the notes in between the green boxes triggers the phrases:
Virtual Bassist Royal
Virtual Guitarist Silk
- Make sure the focus from your DAW is on the right track/ plug-in and that the track is not somehow muted! Some DAW's will auto close the audio device when the focus is lost from any of its windows. This means, when you focus on a VST plugin's window, your DAW will determine that focus is lost from its windows and auto close the audio device. You could try to click on the track and use the "Solo" functionality.
- Please note that this issue can also be related to your DAW and may have nothing to do with the respective ujam plug-in. So you want to check your current settings of the audio output of your DAW and also check if other plug-ins also have sound problems or whether the issue only occurs with ujam plug-ins. You can also try to open the plug-in in another DAW and test whether you experience the same issue.
- If nothing helps we always recommend to uninstall and re-install your plug-in and restart your system (this actually works quite often!):
