Be aware that clicking on the plugin's on-screen keyboard makes the plug-in play, but does not send recordable MIDI or audio data to the host. Recording is not possible this way, also not if you arm the track and enable the record function of you DAW. The plugin does not actually output any audio or MIDI data.
How to record
- Please make sure to assign your Virtual Instrument to a MIDI track
- Use either an external MIDI device (e.g. a MIDI keyboard) or use the host's MIDI editor, which comes with most DAWs.
- You can only record MIDI notes (which trigger the plug-in), but not the plug-ins internal MIDI signals!
- You can always bounce the MIDI track to audio.
- You may want to use the built-in MIDI drag and drop feature (please check whether this feature is available for your plug-in)
