How can I assign the plug-in to my MIDI controllers?
- All DAWs handle MIDI controllers for effects differently and there is no MIDI Learn functionality in most of them. The good news is that Finisher fully supports MIDI control. All you need to do is lookup for your DAW how it handles MIDI controller assignments.
- Here's an example to show you how it looks in Logic Pro X:
Anything I need to be aware of?
To ensure a consistent volume, be sure to adjust your input level with the Finisher Knob all the way down so it matches the output level when the Finisher Knob is all the way up.
Are there any known issues?
We are aware of some issues that will eventually be fixed in future updates.
BOOST:
- Silicon-based Macs: Authentication might get lost (re-install & re-authenticate should resolve issue if occurring).
- Preset display might be blank after saving a preset (preset will be saved anyways).
DYNAMO:
-
Switching through Modes and Presets while Playback is running can in some exceptional cases lead to Audio Dropouts.
- Under rare circumstances saving a preset (via "Save As") while playback is running might crash the DAW (Windows 10 only)
- Saving a Preset might lead to a blank preset display. Presets are being saved, though. (Windows 10 only)
FLUXX:
- Settings are not always recalled correctly. Workaround: save your settings as a preset before closing your project/session.
- Sometimes the GUI in Logic Pro doesn't properly reflect automated Parameters.
- Removing several Instances of Finisher Fluxx in Pro Tools might cause the Host to crash.
NEO:
- Settings are not always recalled correctly. Workaround: save your settings as a preset before closing your project/session.
RETRO:
- Settings are not always recalled correctly. Workaround: save your settings as a preset before closing your project/session.

- Sometimes the GUI doesn't properly reflect automated Parameters.

- Switching Modes/Presets will result in audible artefacts, in particular when switching to Nigel Sustainer
VOODOO:
- Finisher VOODOO sometimes doesn't work on an empty track
- Switching from certain modes to certain other modes can change the plugin's signal flow in a way that can cause short dropouts or disruptions to currently running audio
- "Mode" automation not recordable via UI.
- When starting the plugin for the first time in Garage Band a security warning message is displayed
